El Capitan

This painting brings me back to autumn in Yosemite, where everything the sun touches turns to gold. Anyone who has the privilege of being in the presence of this granite giant can attest to that glorious feeling of being small in the wake of something so massive and ancient- it was here before I was and it will be here long after.

This rock is also known as Tu-Tok-A-Nu’-La and it is located on the ancestral lands of the Sierra Miwok.
